Plantain-Pineapple Saute

The ingredients are:
2 Plantains, peeled and cut into 1/2" chunks 2 tbsp Butter 2 cup Fresh or canned, drained pineapple chunks 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp Ground allspice 1/4 cup Pineapple juice or water 3 tbsp Honey

The recipe yield is:
6 Servings

Place plantain chunks in saucepan of water to cover. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes. Drain. In a skillet, melt the butter or margarine. Add plantain pieces. Saute 2 minutes. Add pineapple chunks, spices and pineapple juice or water. cover and simmer 5 minutes more. Add honey, to taste. Serve as a dessert or side disk for ham or pork.
